We've put together a list of some cool island seeds that give you a real challenge. Keep in mind that while the basic island shapes are the same on both the Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft, the locations of things like villages and other structures can be different. So, let's jump right in!

This seed is a good starting point. You appear on a large island that has a savanna village right there. That means you have easy access to food, wood, and other basic stuff to get you going.
From there, you can check out the rest of the Minecraft world, or stick around the island, build a Nether portal, and try to beat the game quickly.

You'll find yourself on an island with different types of forests—birch, taiga, old-growth birch, and regular forest—all mixed together. There's even a hill in the middle where you can build a cool wooden house to oversee your kingdom of trees.

Most island seeds put you in the ocean where you can at least swim to another place. But this one? You're on an island surrounded by frozen ocean! This is a fun twist on the usual survival island.
But, it's Minecraft, so there's another way out. If the frozen ocean is too scary, jump into the ravine in the middle of the island. It goes right into a big, open lush cave. From there, you can travel underground to wherever you want. And see if you can find an Axolotl down there!
4. A Hot Deserted Island

A lot of times, you can survive on island seeds because of the food you find there. But what if there was no food? That's what this seed gives you—a desert island. The closest land is also desert and badlands.
The good news is there are a few things around that can help you get started, like Mineshafts, Shipwrecks, and Ruined Portals. They can have tools, wood, food, and iron. Without those, this seed would be almost impossible.
5. Crater Island

This seed is a bit of a glitch, and it's super hard. You start in the middle of the ocean with no land nearby. Your spawn point is supposed to be in a desert, but there's no land, just water.
Even if you don't drown right away, you'll probably starve. If you want to test your Minecraft skills, this is the seed to do it. It's the hardest island seed we've ever seen.
6. Classic Survival Island Seed

8. Scattered Mountain On Minecraft Survival Island

There are also lots of animals on the mountain, like pigs, cows, and chickens, so you won't starve. Sounds too good? Well, the island only has one tree.
So, you'll have limited wood and might have trouble getting all the resources you need. But it wouldn't be a survival island if there wasn't some risk, right?
9. Land of Sand in the Ocean

This seed can be really annoying. You start on a desert island with nothing but more desert islands around you. There are no trees, structures, or animals.
The best you can find is fish, sugarcane, and cacti. The fish can keep you alive, but you probably can't get very far unless you swim to other biomes.
10. Swim to Safe Haven

Mushroom fields are rare and awesome. No bad guys appear in this biome, so it's a great place to build your base. This seed puts you close to a bunch of mushroom field islands, which is almost impossible to find.
But, you start in the middle of the ocean, so you have to swim to the islands. This seed is one of the hardest, but is it harder than #5? Try it and let us know what you think.
11. Villagers to the Rescue Again

Here's another village survival seed. It has a plains village on both versions of the game. You can get food and supplies easily, and then decide if you want to leave or stay and change the village. The village is in the same spot on Java and Bedrock, but they aren't exactly the same.
This seed is way better on Bedrock. The village doesn't have one, two, or three blacksmith houses, but five! If you don't believe us, check it out yourself.
Why are they so good? You can find stuff that lets you beat the game quickly, like iron armor, obsidian, and even diamonds.
12. Cherry Grove Island

This list has to have a pink cherry biome. This seed has a small cherry grove next to a frozen peaks biome. There are only a few oak trees around, so you'll mostly use the pink wood.
Also, the Java version has a plains village on the island, which makes it a relaxing place to survive. But be careful in the caves, because you might run into the Warden in a small, deep, dark biome.
Besides that, there are two mineshafts close together that will give you lots of ores, cave spider spawners, and string.
13. Resourceful Island

If you don't want a hard seed, but just one where you can get resources and live a normal Minecraft life, try this one. You start in a good-sized forest biome that has oak and birch wood, as well as flowers and animals.
There aren't a lot of animals, so you should start breeding them soon. Luckily, a taiga biome nearby has sweet berries, which are easy to farm for food. Also, if you like to build, you'll love the spruce wood.
14. Mushroom Island Surrounded by Ice Formations

This isn't a normal survival island seed, but it's special. You start at the edge of a snowy area, with villages nearby on both versions. The cool thing about this world is that there's a mushroom field biome southwest of where you start that's surrounded by a deep frozen ocean.
So, instead of a regular mushroom island, you have to be careful when you're boating there. But when you get there, the view from the island is awesome, with all the ice formations around. It's also a big mushroom island, perfect for a secure mega base.
15. Lonely Island

The last island on our list is pretty lonely. It's a medium-sized island with three biomes—plains, forest, and beach. They'll give you some basic resources and food. When you're ready to travel the ocean, you'll see that there's almost no land around the island.
The closest land is one of the rarest biomes in the game—mushroom fields. There are also other islands in the ocean, including a small taiga island that has spruce wood and sweet berries. This seed is like the skyblock map because you need to build a bridge, or row to an island to get unique resources.
