According to the Dubai Media Office, the debris fell during the drone interception from Iran, and the injured individuals were given immediate medical treatment. The incident was part of a large-scale attack by Iran against the UAE, in which Iran launched 137 ballistic missiles and 209 drones, of which the UAE Armed Forces successfully intercepted 132 missiles and 195 drones. The effects of the debris were widespread, including a fire at Jebel Ali Port and the impact on the Burj Al Arab, and injuries to a woman and child in Abu Dhabi. The UAE Ministry of Defence has described the attacks as “dangerous acts of aggression and a violation of national sovereignty”, and authorities are on high alert. For the public’s cooperation, it is essential to trust official sources, not share fake information, stay away from areas with debris and use the emergency number 998 (UAE Civil Defence).
